Plush new DS 4 and DS 7 Esprit de Voyage special editions revealed

Special edition DS Automobiles SUV and crossover to feature bespoke high-end finishes and unique styling treatments

DS 4 and DS 7 Esprit de Voyage

DS Automobiles has revealed new Esprit de Voyage special editions of its DS 4 crossover and DS 7 SUV, bundling bespoke styling elements and high-end features. Available to order now in the UK, the pair will cost from £37,330 for the DS 4 and £50,090 for the DS 7, and are available with both plug-in and pure combustion powertrains.

Unique elements for both models include a luxurious interior trim upgrade, with light pebble grey seats and consoles matched to ceramic grey dashboard and door card trims. The leather itself is of high quality Nappa and features on the dash as well as the seats, with an embossed pattern that’s designed to capture a ‘spirit of travel’, according to DS.

The same pattern is applied to other elements around the cars, including laser-etched mirror caps, and colour-coded interior floor mats. These are combined with a two-tone exterior finish with a black roof and dark-finishes to some of the exterior detailing.

Both special editions base their specification on the existing mid-level Rivoli trim, adding a few useful features to an already comprehensive list of standard equipment. These include an Electric Seat Pack, which bundles seat heating, cooling and massage functions. There’s also a heated steering wheel, powered tailgate, aluminium pedals and laminated side glass. The DS 7 goes further by also adding upgraded ambient interior lighting.

DS 4 customers will be able to specify the Esprit de Voyage trim in 130 (128bhp) petrol and diesel models, as well as the 225 (222bhp) plug-in hybrid. The DS 7 will also be available with a 130 (128bhp) diesel and 225 (222bhp) PHEV, with the additional option of the more potent 300 (296bhp) PHEV topping the range.

DS says that it’s keen to emphasise its connection to the world of Parisian high-end fashion, so this Esprit de Voyage collection could be just the first in a range of special editions to come.
